Start from the object
The system begins with what is actually there: a reference, a constraint, a date, a piece of text that refuses to become generic, a product decision somebody has to make. A colour palette is only useful once it helps that thing speak.
Rule 01 / infrastructure first
Ink, paper, rail, label, order. If the hierarchy disappears without violet, lime or a grain texture, it was never hierarchy. It was camouflage.
Rule 02 / one break in the grid
Each major surface gets one human interruption: a real object, a rough line, a materially specific image, or one sentence that does not sound like it survived a brand workshop.
“Human” is not a rounded corner with a sad little gradient.
Rule 03 / show the source
When an image is used, name why it is there. When a claim appears, give it context. The point is not bureaucracy; it is making taste inspectable instead of mystical.
Rule 04 / leave room for revision
the archive is not a costume to worship. it records useful moves: violet as a field, imperfect lines as signals, colour with a sense of humour. keep the move, lose the costume.
